The Department of Mathematics is pleased to share that Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Chairperson, Department of Mathematics and Coordinator, Faculty of Computing and Numerical Sciences, participated as an Invited Speaker in the Pi Day / International Day of Mathematics Online Seminar organized by the University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, on 14 March 2026. During the seminar, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram delivered a presentation titled Augmented Mathematicians Human Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and the Future of Computational Mathematics. Her talk explored the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on computational mathematics and the evolving role of mathematicians in the digital era. She emphasized that while AI is transforming mathematical research and applications, human creativity, intuition, critical thinking, and innovation remain fundamental to mathematical discovery and scientific progress.
