Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Coordinator, Faculty of Computing and Numerical Sciences, and Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, Government College Women University Faisalabad, represented GCWUF as a Keynote Speaker and Advisory Board Member at the 1st International Conference on Mathematics for a Resilient and Sustainable Future, held from May 7???8, 2026, at The Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur. She delivered her keynote talk titled ???Mathematics as a Catalyst for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,??? emphasizing the central role of mathematics as the foundation of STEM education, scientific reasoning, computational modeling, and evidence-based problem solving. She highlighted how mathematical sciences, numerical analysis, optimization, and interdisciplinary STEM approaches can contribute to sustainable development, resilience, innovation, and real-world decision-making.
