*12th BASR Meeting Held at Government College Women University Faisalabad*ÚFaisalabad, October 9, 2025 — The 12th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) of Government College Women University Faisalabad was convened by Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.).ÚThe meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Pro-Vice Chancellor, GCWUF; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zuber, Director of Examinations, Riphah International University (Faisalabad Campus); Prof. Dr. Kausar Jamal Cheema, Ex-Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences, LCWU, Lahore; Prof. Dr. Sofia Anwar, Professor of Economics, GCUF; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Umair Arshad, Chairman, Department of Food Sciences, GCUF, along with senior faculty members and officers of GCWUF.ÚThe Board deliberated on key matters related to postgraduate education and research, including approval of Ph.D. thesis evaluations, constitution of supervisory committees, rectification of program nomenclature, study-leave extensions, and reforms to postgraduate programs in line with the HEC Graduate Education Policy (2023).ÚIn her concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) appreciated the valuable contributions of the members and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence at national and international levels.
