GCWUF Observes Black Day in Solidarity with People of Jammu and KashmirÚOctober 27, 2025 — Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) observed Black Day to condemn the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India on October 27, 1947, and to reaffirm solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.ÚA solidarity rally, led by Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Pro Vice Chancellor GCWUF, was held on campus, where students and faculty carried banners and placards highlighting the continued violation of human rights in the occupied valley and expressing support for the Kashmiri cause.ÚA webinar was also organized to discuss the historical and contemporary dimensions of the Kashmir issue. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad Awan, Associate Professor and Director of the Jhelum Valley Campus, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Ms. Mediha Khan, Lecturer in International Relations at the University of AJK, shared insightful perspectives on the region’s ongoing struggle and resilience.ÚThe events were jointly organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs, Paigham-e-Pakistan, and the Departments of Pakistan Studies and Urdu, GCWUF, underscoring the university’s commitment to raising awareness about peace, justice, and human rights.
