GCWUF Holds Capacity Building Session on Entrepreneurship and SME DevelopmentÚFaisalabad, October 29, 2025 — The Directorate of Students Affairs, in collaboration with the Women Development and Mentoring Center, GCWUF, organized a session on “Entrepreneurship and SME Development.” Ms. Fouzia Aslam, Chief Manager, State Bank of Pakistan, Faisalabad, graced the event as Chief Guest, accompanied by Mr. Ahmad Bilal (Deputy Chief Manager) and Mr. Bakhtawar Abbas (Assistant Chief Manager). Expert speakers included Mr. Shahid Irshad (FCMA, CFO, ChemTex) on “How to Prepare an Effective Business Plan and Projected Financial Statements,” Mr. Zeeshan Yousaf (Regional Head SME, Bank of Punjab) on “Government and BOP’s SME Schemes,” and Miss Nabila Yaqub (Circle Women) on “Use of Online Platforms for Enhancing Sales.” Ms. Fouzia Aslam highlighted the academic and practical significance of financial literacy, emphasizing that “linking classroom learning with real-world financial practices is essential for developing competent entrepreneurs and professionals.” She appreciated GCWUF’s initiatives to empower women to participate actively in the financial and business sectors. ÚOn behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), the session was presided over by Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Pro Vice Chancellor, GCWUF. She extended gratitude to the State Bank of Pakistan and partner institutions, sharing the Vice Chancellor’s vision of promoting academia–industry collaboration to enhance students’ entrepreneurial capacity and leadership skills. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session and exchange of souvenirs between both organizations as a gesture of mutual appreciation and continued collaboration.
