Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen Joins after representing Pakistan at the British Council’s Global Education Leadership Conference in LondonFaisalabad, November 03, 2025 — Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Vice Chancellor, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), represented Pakistan at the British Council’s Global Education Leadership Conference “Going Global 2025” held from October 28–30 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London.Nominated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the British Council Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Ameen joined over 350 global higher education leaders to discuss the theme “Resilience, Value, Innovation: Surviving and Thriving in a Volatile World.”She highlighted that the forum provided valuable insights on digital transformation, transnational education, and institutional sustainability. A special visit to the UK Parliament was also arranged for the Pakistani delegation, hosted by MP Alan Gemmell and James Hampson, Country Director, British Council Pakistan.Prof. Dr. Ameen emphasized that the global learnings will support GCWUF’s efforts toward digital innovation, international collaboration, and women’s empowerment in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
