Department of Art & Design at Government College Women University Faisalabad organized a three days exhibition of art and design today in the art gallery of the department. The purpose of the event was to encourage the students showcase their art work to spectators and explain the techniques and artistic movements behind their pieces of art. The students of BFA & BGD of 3rd,5th and 7th semester exhibited their work. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Zille Huma Nazli, Director Advanced Studies, accompanied by Registrar Asif A. Malik & Coordinator of Arts & Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sameen. The art display was based on painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, miniature, photography, calligraphy, videography and graphic design that showed creative and artistic skill of the students. Theme based mask-display presented by students was a special part of the exhibition. Sculpture & printmaking were also prominent along with 1 minute video presentations by the students. The visitors applauded the colourful display of art and craft of the students. The HOD Miss Tuba Najam declared the exhibition a pedestal for all budding artists in the department of Art & Design to display their creative self through their work to all appreciative and critical eyes.
