Under faculty development program of Government College Women University Faisalabad, two of the senior professors, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram (Chairperson Mathematics Department) and Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sameen (Coordinator Arts & Social Sciences, Chairperson Food Science & Technology) participated in an interactive Workshop on ???Principles of Project Management??? at the National Centre of GIS and Space Applications Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, held on 27-30 December 2022. The said workshop was attended by 40 senior management representatives from various areas of excellence. The workshop covered different tools of project management. Dr. Ghulam Sarwar (Program Coordinator R&D Division, HEC) organised an extensive session on construction of PC-I & PC-II (Preparation, Formulation of Project & Feasibility Study) and different aspects associated with them. A talk on PC-III, IV & V (Monitoring & Control Closure & Ex-Post Evaluation) was made by Dr. Atiq Ur Rehman (Asian Centre for Organization Development). A thorough session on smart ways of using computer tools to handle project management was also part of the workshop. The participants were given a tour of the observatory lab, National Centre of GIS and space Application IST, and hopes were raised to hold similar trainings in the future also. The workshop ended with the award distribution ceremony by the worthy Vice Chancellor IST Maj Gen Rehan Abdul Baqi (Retd) and Dr. Najam Abbas (Head NCGSA, IST).
