On April 9, 2025, the Directorate of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) conducted a comprehensive Program Review for Effectiveness & Enhancement (PREE) for the departments of Arabic, English, Islamic Studies, Urdu, Home Economics, and Art & Design in the Video Conference room GCWUF. The review panel consisted of Dr. Yasir Arfat (Associate Professor, Islamic Studies, GCUF), Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli (Pro-Vice Chancellor, GCWUF), and Dr. Aasma Khalid (Director QEC, GCWUF). The PREE process emphasized outcome-based education and focused on measuring program effectiveness through the lens of eight core standards: 1. Program Mission, Objectives, and Outcomes 2. Curriculum Design and Organization 3. Subject-Specific Facilities 4. Student Advising and Counselling 5. Teaching Faculty/Staff 6. Institutional Policies and Process Control 7. Institutional Support and Facilities 8. Institutional General Requirements The panel conducted a detailed review and interactive Q&A sessions to assess the extent to which each program demonstrates continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning aligned with institutional goals. Feedback was evidence-based, with actionable recommendations submitted to the Director QEC for further academic enhancement and policy refinement. Dr. Aasma Khalid acknowledged the departments' commitment to academic quality and continuous self-evaluation. In recognition of his valuable input and expert analysis, a commemorative shield was presented to Dr. Yasir Arfat by Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli.
