A poster competition to exhibit sustainable development goal 14, Life below Water (SDG-14: Life below Water) was held in the department of Zoology on 30th April 2024 under the direction of the Quality Enhancement Cell, GCWUF. The event aimed to highlight the importance of the conservation of marine life. The main focused areas were, preventing pollution, managing marine ecosystems, overfishing, ocean acidification, fisheries subsidies, small scale fisheries and ocean protected areas. The posters were patterned by capable faculty members of the zoology Department under the leadership of Dr. Tamseela Mumtaz, the Incharge Department of Zoology. The supervision of Dr Safina Kousar, Dr Ayesha Riaz, Dr Komal Umair. Dr Sumaira Aslam, Dr Yasmeen Gul and Dr Faiza Ambreen in poster formulation and display made the event successful. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Zill-i-Huma Nazli inaugurated the exhibition. Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Coordinator of Science and Technology, and a team of senior faculty members evaluated the posters and announced the winning positions of winning Posters. The worthy Vice Chancellor appreciated the student???s efforts in highlighting the stress faced by aquatic life and enthusiastic approach to maintaining sustainable underwater ecosystem.
