The Department of Nutritional Sciences at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) organized a Poster Competition and Counselling Camp on May 7th, 2024. The event aimed to showcase Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: "Responsible Consumption and Production" in collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Cell, GCWUF, under the guidance of the Ministry of Planning and Development. The event was divided into two segments: a Poster Competition and a Counselling Camp. The poster competition focused on key areas including Reduce, Reuse & Recycle, Sustainable Lifestyles, and Minimizing Food Losses and Utilization of Wastes. Students designed the posters under the supervision of faculty members, led by Dr. Madiha Ilyas, Incharge of the Department of Nutritional Sciences. The Counselling Camp centered on sustainable food systems, recycling, and responsible waste management. Innovative models were showcased, and brochures were distributed to raise awareness among the general public. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Coordinator of Science and Technology, along with Coordinators from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Management Sciences, and Faculty of Humanities and Languages, as well as Heads of various Departments. A panel of senior faculty members evaluated the posters and announced the winners, recognizing the efforts of the faculty and students in emphasizing the importance of sustainable consumption and production patterns.
