Faisalabad, February 17, 2025 Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen TI, Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University Faisalabad GCWUF, the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences, successfully organized the Career Orientation Session Direction 360 at Jinnah Auditorium. The event was convened by Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, alongside Dr. Saiqa Sadiq, who serves as the Head of the Department of Public Administration, aiming to provide students with career insights, professional guidance, and industry exposure. The session commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran Tilawat, followed by a Naat. This was followed by the National Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and patriotism among the participants. A large number of students from the Faculty of Management Sciences attended the event, along with various faculty members supporting the initiative. Ms. Nasreen Akhtar, Senior Lecturer, efficiently performed her role as the Stage Secretary, ensuring the smooth execution of the event. In her welcome address, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram emphasized the importance of career planning and professional development in today competitive world. She highlighted the university commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry by providing students with exposure to various career paths and skill building opportunities. The session featured insightful talks by distinguished speakers, including, Mian Asif Sardar, Former Civil Servant who shared experiences in public service. Mr. Saqib Mahmood, National Sales Executive at Breeo International who discussed corporate career prospects. Dr. Adeel Anjum, Senior Academician who provided insights into academic and research careers. Following the guest talks, an engaging Q&A session allowed students to interact with the speakers, seek career advice, and clarify their professional concerns. In the vote of thanks, Dr. Saiqa Sadiq expressed sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, the esteemed guest speakers, faculty members, and students for their participation and contributions.
