Government College Women University Faisalabad GCWUF commemorated World Book and Copyright Day 2025 through a series of intellectually stimulating and culturally resonant activities. The event, aligned with the UNESCO designated day on April 23rd, underscored the significance of literature and the necessity of protecting intellectual property in an evolving global landscape increasingly influenced by digital technologies and artificial intelligence. A notable segment of the program featured a tribute to authors, in which Dr. Saiqa Sadiq, Head of the Department of Public Administration, actively participated. Her contribution was recognized with an honorary souvenir, acknowledging her engagement with and appreciation for literary works. Furthermore, a symbolic walk was organized to promote the importance of books and reading within the university community and beyond. This year global theme, The role of literature in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs provided a pertinent framework for the activities, highlighting the capacity of literature to foster awareness and inspire action on critical global challenges.
