The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has established to prepare online contents of lecturers in order to minimize the loss of students after closing of educational institutions due to COVID-19.
The journey begins under the Convener-ship of Director Advanced Studies and continues successful planning of making course structure, mode of communication, preparation and pitching of content. The faculties have also been advised to attend campus only when required for preparation and delivery of online courses/content with a view to minimize any academic loss of the students. Faculty delivered lectures by using the Learning Management System and Campus Management System. Different applications like Google classroom, Microsoft Teams and other related software have been utilized in this regard.

In a short span of time, in 20 meticulous sittings committee discussed all rapid variations in policies as conveyed by HEC , PHEC/HED, course modification, student financial support and frequently faced problems regarding online classes for all ongoing semesters, extensions in fee submission, online admission application processing, segregation of classes and sessions, by allowing to enroll spring courses during fall (only one time due to COVID-19) to improve /Pass courses.
Industrial academic linkages refer to the collaboration between universities, research institutions, and industries to support innovation, research and development, and technology transfer. These linkages play an essential role in enhancing the competitiveness of firms, fostering economic growth, and providing a platform for the development and dissemination of new knowledge. In this essay, I will discuss the importance of industrial academic linkages and their benefits for both industries and academic institutions.
Prof. Dr. Aysha Sameen joined this directorate as director on February 2023. This directorate can play a vital role as a mediator and modulator for skill development, adoption of knowledge, promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation. Through partnerships with public, private and non-governmental institutions/organizations, this office can strive to promote national and globally collaborations. Additionally, this office is responsible for bringing in foreign students, facilitating faculty and student placement in prestigious universities, facilitating interactions between academics and practical approach and engaging the national and international donors, civil society organisations and industries to fund the training, research and development activities of university human resources.
The Directorate of International Collaboration is tasked with bridging the gap between the University and the numerous international academic and research groups. By establishing relationships and connectedness with local, national and international communities, this office aims to adapt the GCUWF community to the evolving role of international universities.
To strengthen the university's strategic partnerships with academia, research institute and industries at both national and international level. Encouraging and assisting the faculty of university to take part in projects, programs and research that will benefit our institution on a national and worldwide level.
Developing and maintaining alliances with the organizations that are relevant in order to advance capacity-building efforts and strengthen scientific partnership, quality research and practical entrepreneurial skills. The ultimate goal is to enhance professional development and extending community services to meet the demands of a changing local and global market through a social change. This directorate intends to fulfil its vital function as a mediator and modulator for knowledge adoption, entrepreneurship promotion, innovation and skill development.
