The Department of Nutritional Sciences, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), actively participated in the 1st International Conference on Recycling, held on 10th June 2026 at Serena Hotel, Faisalabad. The conference was attended by the Head of Department, Dr. Madiha Ilyas, along with faculty members, reaffirming the department's commitment to promoting sustainability through research, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Their participation reflected continued support for initiatives focused on sustainable resource management, waste reduction, and environmental protection. During the conference, Dr. Fizza Sanaullah and Dr. Sadia Kafeel delivered research-based presentations addressing the growing challenges of food wastage and its impact on food security and environmental sustainability. They highlighted practical strategies to reduce food loss and foster sustainable food systems through evidence-based approaches. The conference provided an excellent platform for academicians, researchers, and professionals to exchange knowledge, share innovative ideas, and strengthen collaborative efforts aimed at advancing sustainability, recycling practices, and environmental awareness.
