The Department of Nutritional Sciences, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), organized Nutrivision: Smart Meal Expo, Nutrition Camp and Poster Exhibition on 18th December 2025, aimed at promoting smart meal planning, therapeutic diets, and evidence-based nutrition practices. The event was held under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), with administrative support from Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma, organized by Dr. Madiha Ilyas, Head of Department, reflecting the departments commitment to experiential and community-focused nutrition education. Students prepared and presented balanced meal plans for different socioeconomic groups, focusing on affordability, nutritional adequacy, and cultural suitability. Additionally, students designed therapeutic meal plans for various health conditions, including breast cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), anemia, celiac disease, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and obesity, demonstrating the practical application of clinical nutrition principles. A comprehensive Poster Exhibition was also organized, where students showcased research-based posters on clinical nutrition, public health nutrition, lifestyle disorders, maternal and child nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and disease prevention, reflecting their research, analytical, and communication skills The Nutrition Camp served as a significant component of the event, aimed at community awareness and preventive health care. The camp offered nutritional assessment, body mass index (BMI) evaluation, dietary counselling, and nutrition education sessions, emphasizing healthy lifestyle practices, early disease prevention, and diet-based management of chronic conditions. The event was graced by Guest of Honor, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, Ex-MPA and Chairperson, Standing Committee on Women Health, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) who appreciated the students??? professional competence and highlighted the importance of therapeutic nutrition, structured meal planning, and community-based nutrition services in addressing current public health challenges. With enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, and visitors, Nutrivision concluded successfully with positive feedback, reinforcing the Department of Nutritional Sciences??? mission to advance nutrition education, clinical dietetics, and community well-being.
