GC Women University Faisalabad Celebrates International Women's Day with Two-Day Art Exhibition Faisalabad, March 10, 2026: On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Department of Art & Design at Government College Women University Faisalabad, in collaboration with the Punjab Council of the Arts Faisalabad, inaugurated a two-day art exhibition titled 'Hun Na Reya Hanera.' The exhibition was inaugurated at the Punjab Council of the Arts by Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar and Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.). The event was attended by the President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chairman of the Hosiery Manufacturers Association, and representatives from the Women Chamber of Commerce. The exhibition brought together 11 faculty members of the Department of Art & Design, presenting a diverse range of artistic expressions. The group show featured paintings, mixed media artworks, and installations, reflecting the collective creativity and artistic perspectives of the faculty while celebrating the spirit of International Women's Day. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar highlighted the vital role of women in the progress and prosperity of society. He noted that art serves as a powerful medium of expression that raises social awareness and promotes positive thinking. He appreciated the artwork created by the faculty of GCWUF and termed such exhibitions an effective platform for encouraging creativity. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) stated that International Women's Day provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in society. She emphasized that GCWUF is committed to providing students and faculty with opportunities for both academic excellence and creative expression. She further remarked that the exhibition 'Hun Na Reya Hanera' symbolizes the strength, courage, and hope of women, reflecting the growing role of women in every sphere of life. She appreciated Dr. Tuba Najam and her team for presenting an impressive display of artistic talent and techniques.
