The Department of Economics organises Seminar on “Decent Work for All” Aligned with SDG-08 ��The Department of Economics at GCWUF organized a seminar titled '||chr(34)||'Decent Work for All: Productivity and Economic Growth'||chr(34)||' on May 16, 2025, in the Committee Room. The event was part of the university’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 08.�Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Yaseen, Chairperson, Department of Economics, GCUF, served as the guest speaker. He emphasized the ILO’s concept of “decent work,” covering fair wages, job security, social protection, and equal opportunities, and discussed its impact on national productivity and economic resilience.�Students contributed poster presentations on SDG-08, and the session included a vibrant Q&A on labor reforms, automation, and the future of work.�Dr. Aysha Sameen, Coordinator, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and other faculty members also attended. The seminar concluded with remarks from the Head of Department, commending the speaker and encouraging continued exploration of labor-economic linkages.
