Dr. Kauser Parveen from the Department of Biochemistry, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), represented her institute in one-week intensive clinical prosthetics training (12 May-18May,025) at Artlife Prosthetic Studio, DHA Islamabad. The program was led by Pakistan’s pioneering anaplastologist Rashid Chughtai Sb., assisted by Akhtar Ali, and included Prosthodontics from the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry (AFID) such as Dr. Sana Khalid, Dr. Anis Ur Rehman and Dr. Samiah Andleeb. It provided hands-on experience in the interdisciplinary field of anaplastology, combining biomedical science, material chemistry, and human anatomy to restore form and function through custom prosthetic and orthotic solutions.ÚThe training focused entirely on live human subject evaluation, including maxillofacial assessment, tissue impression procedures, and craniofacial measurements. Dr. Kauser took part in advanced treatment planning and prosthetic rehabilitation for congenital and acquired deformities. She was actively involved in fabricating silicone-based facial prostheses, learning about polymerization kinetics, biocompatibility, and adhesion techniques. This experience enhanced her clinical expertise and highlighted the value of translational research in linking GCWUF with patient-centered care at Chughtai Anaplastology Centre, Islamabad.
