The Department of Humanities, GCWUF organised Punjabi Cultural Exhibition on February 22, 2023 at 11:00 am in Fatima Block. Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq (T.I), Vice Chancellor, GCWUF was the Chief Guest of the event. Coordinator Faculty of Humanities and Languages, Dr. Rukhsana Baloch was the convener and Dr. Unsa Jamshed, Incharge Department of Humanities was the focal person of the exhibition. Director Academics Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Incharge Department of Education Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira, Incharge Public Administration Dr. Saiqa Sadiq, Incharge Department of Pol-Sciences & I.R Miss Tayyaba, with their faculty members graced the exhibition. The students warmly welcomed Worthy Vice Chancellorher with a shower of flowers at the venue of the exhibition. She visited every stall and cultural display by students. Students expressed different aspects of Punjabi Culture in their displays like mahndi, maiyun, dohlki, chand raat celebration, Punjabi kitchen and drawing room culture. Few Students expressed the culture of thread work and knitting in their display. Worthy Vice Chancellor and Director Academics also knitted to show students that successful ladies of Punjab are also close to their cultural values and it was the main theme of this exhibition to encourage and promote local values and norms among our young generations. Various food items and dress accessories were also a part of the exhibition. The Worthy Vice Chancellor acknowledged the dedication and hard work of students and the Department of Humanities to make this event successful.
