On March 6, 2025, GCWUF hosted an awareness seminar titled “Women Rights are Human Rights” at Jinnah Auditorium. This event was part of the ongoing efforts of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) to empower women for a sustainable life. The event was organised by the Women Development & Mentoring Centre, GCWUF.�Mr. Imran Javed Qureshi, Senior Legal Executive at the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women, was the guest speaker. He highlighted key legislative measures designed to protect women from workplace harassment, cyber harassment, violence, and forced marriages. He also spoke about laws ensuring women'||chr(39)||'s rights to inherit and own property.�Talking to the audience, Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Pro Vice-Chancellor GCWUF, emphasized the importance of Pakistani women advocating for their rights within the framework of Islam.�Other speakers, including Ms. Rukhsana Kouser, Chairperson Standing Committee FWCCI, also encouraged students to actively contribute to societal welfare as strong women. The students participated eagerly in the session, engaging in a lively debate on women'||chr(39)||'s rights.�The seminar concluded with Dr. Sadaf Naqvi expressing gratitude to the guests for their insightful talks.
