On Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) hosted a workshop titled "Transforming Education for Future Insights and Strategies" in the Video Conference Room of GCWUF. The formal initiation of the session was done by Dr. Aasma Khalid, the Director of QEC. Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira, Associate Professor, Institute of Agricultural Extension, Education & Rural Development, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, delivered a lecture on the transformative aspects of education for future insights and strategies. Engaged in this valuable workshop were the Heads of Teaching Departments and Program Team Members of GCWUF. The workshop unfolded in two sessions, with Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira shedding light on the significance of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and its role in empowering individuals and communities for a sustainable future. Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira further delved into the concept that transforming education cultivates dynamic relationships between students and teachers, facilitating learning and personal growth by sharing a wealth of knowledge. Following the technical sessions, a Question/Answer session provided participants the opportunity to address various issues. Dr. Tahira Syeda Samina adeptly addressed all questions, offering guidance and solutions to the challenges presented. As the session concluded, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli expressed gratitude to all participants and praised the efforts of Director QEC and her team for orchestrating this enlightening and productive session. As the day came to an end, a symbolic token of appreciation took center stage: a finely crafted shield was presented to the guest speaker by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli. This act served as a heartfelt gesture, recognizing and expressing gratitude for their impactful insights and valuable presence throughout the event.
