In the connection of World Mental Health Day, the Department of Applied Psychology, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) has organized one day seminar on October 10, 2024 in Audio-Video Conference room adhering the theme, ???It???s time to prioritize mental health in the workplace???. Pro. Dr. Aysha Sameen, Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and heads from the department of Information Technology (Ms. Suneeza Hamid), Nutritional Sciences (Dr. Madiha Illyas), and Zoology (Dr. Tamseela Mumtaz) have graced the event with their presence. In charge, Department of Applied Psychology, Dr. Riffat Sadiq, faculty members and students have warmly welcomed the guest speakers giving the gift of flowers. Event was formally started with the recitation of few Quranic verses and Naat honoring our beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohamad (Khatamun Nabiyeen). While talking about mental health, Dr. Qaiser Abbas Sial, Assistant Professor/Clinical Psychology, Department of Applied Psychology, GCUF elaborated how mental health is integral in achieving academic and professional goals besides sharing techniques through which one can boost his/her mental health at workplace. Ms. Saira Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Psychology GCWUF made audience understood how art of negotiation could help them in resolving conflicts encountered in social and occupation setting. Negotiation is not confined to only business but an essential life skill for all in managing stress, relationships and other issues. Afterwards, a special interactive talk of faculty with guest speakers was held regarding mental health at workplace and how employer and employee jointly build healthy and supportive working culture. In last, Prof. Dr. Aysha Sameen, Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences gave souvenirs to respected speakers in response of their intellectual sharing with faculty and students of GCWUF.
