The Department of Applied Psychology, Government College Women University, Faisalabad (GCWUF), organized a Career Counselling Workshop on January 14,2025 to guide students in making informed decisions about their future careers. The event was spearheaded by Ms. Hafiza Saba and Ms.Quratulain under the supervision of Dr. Rifat Sadiq, Head of the Department of Applied psychology. Dr. Saira Khan also made valuable contributions to the workshop. The workshop featured a guest lecture by Dr. Rafiq Dar, a renowned expert in the field of career counselling. Dr. Dar delivered an engaging and informative presentation, highlighting the importance of career planning, self-assessment, and exploration of career options. He also shared valuable insights on the current job market trends and the skills required to succeed in various industries. This session provided students with the opportunity to explore their interests, values, and strengths, and to identify potential career paths. The participants also engaged in discussions on topics such as resume building, job interviewing, and networking. Students from the HND department actively participated in the workshop, and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The participants appreciated the informative and interactive nature of the workshop, and expressed gratitude for the guidance and support provided by the organizers and guest speakers. The Career Counselling Workshop was a resounding success, providing students with valuable insights and practical advice on career planning and development. The Department of Applied Psychology, GCWUF, plans to continue organizing such events to support the academic and professional growth of its students.
