For the purpose of introducing the University, department and faculty to the new students of BS Mathematics, the department of mathematics held an orientation session. Holy Quraan and Naat were recited to begin orientation. Following that, new pupils were welcomed and all faculty members gave their breif introduction. Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, chairperson Mathematics department, then inspired the students to develop their mathematical thinking to become great mathematicians. She encouraged them to join Mathematics Students' Societies as well. Then, Dr. Rani Sumaira assistant professor discussed the department's functioning and ongoing programs in the Mathematics department via PowerPoint presentation.
