Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) marked a significant milestone with the successful completion of the Women Empowerment and Mentoring Program (WEMP), becoming the first women’s university in Pakistan to do so under the initiative launched by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Islamabad. The closing ceremony celebrated the completion of training for seventy female faculty members from various departments, mentored by fourteen seasoned professionals.Two distinguished guests graced the event as Chief Guest: Dr. Noor Amina Malik, Managing Director of NAHE, and Ms. Saadia Taimur, Parliamentary Secretary for the Women Development Department and Focal Person to the Chief Minister of Punjab. Mr. Tahir Abbas Zaidi, Project Coordinator at NAHE and Coordinator of WEMP, was also the Guest of Honour.In her keynote address, Dr. Noor Amina Malik underscored the critical role of women'||chr(39)||'s voices, leadership, and confidence in driving lasting societal change. “Unless women raise their voices, no sustainable solution to their problems can be achieved,” she affirmed. She praised the structured support NAHE has extended through its Outreach Program, providing women faculty and students nationwide with platforms for expression and skill-building. Dr. Malik proudly acknowledged GCWUF as the first among 18 participating institutions to complete the program’s implementation phase.
