Dr. Madiha Ilyas, Head of the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), participated in the Certified Course on Management of Triopathy as a guest on the special invitation of Prof. Dr. Hooria Amir, Dean, Basic Medical Sciences at Faisalabad Medical University (FMU). The event aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of effective Triopathy management through evidence-based approaches and expert-led sessions. Triopathy, refers to the co-occurrence of three major diabetes-related complications retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy, was the focal point of the course. Various technical sessions were conducted to emphasize the significance of early intervention and holistic management strategies for Triopathy to improve patient outcomes. Renowned experts shared insights into addressing these challenges through clinical practices and emerging research. The sessions also highlighted the role of lifestyle modifications, medical therapies, and advanced diagnostic tools in the effective management of Triopathy, ensuring better long-term health outcomes for patients. During her visit, Dr. Madiha Ilyas discussed potential collaboration opportunities between GCWUF and FMU, with a focus on establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The main purpose of this MOU is to explore avenues for better academic and professional opportunities for students, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, joint research projects and initiate new ventures that align with the vision of both Universities for innovation and progress.
