A mental health camp was organized by the students of 2nd semester, Department of Nutritional Sciences, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), as part of the practical activity for the course titled "Fundamentals of Human Psychology". The students successfully conducted a vibrant and educational Mental Health and Nutritional Awareness Session. This initiative reflects the department???s ongoing commitment to practical learning and public health promotion. The event featured multiple interactive stalls set up by students, showcasing a variety of traditional and healthy food items. Each dish was meticulously prepared with a focus on nutritional value, hygiene, and presentation. Students not only highlighted the culinary aspects but also provided informative explanations regarding the physiological benefits of key ingredients, emphasizing their roles in boosting immunity, aiding digestion, and preventing lifestyle-related disorders. In addition to the food display, students actively participated in one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions, engaging visitors in discussions about the impact of poor nutrition, the adoption of healthy eating habits, and the importance of traditional dietary practices in the management of mental health and overall well-being. The Head of the Department praised the students for their creativity, teamwork, and commitment to community health education. The event was warmly appreciated by faculty members and visitors alike for effectively bridging theoretical knowledge with real-life application.
