The students of Department of Nutritional Sciences, successfully organized an enlightening Therapeutic Diet Display Activity on December 16, 2024. The event served as a practical platform to enhance students??? understanding of therapeutic diets, an essential component of medical nutrition therapy. A total of nine student groups participated in the event, each showcasing dietary solutions tailored to specific health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, hypertension, kidney disorders, PCOS, and gastrointestinal diseases. From simple therapeutic meals to condition-specific dietary models, the displays were both educational and nutritionally sound. Students presented their displays with great enthusiasm, offering well-prepared food samples, innovative presentations, and nutritional posters. Each group emphasized the clinical importance of diet in managing health, ensuring nutritional balance, addressing dietary restrictions, and meeting the therapeutic needs of each condition.The event was honored by the esteemed presence of Dr. Shehzad Basra, Sajjid Sandhu and Dr. Madiha Ilyas (Head of Department), who visited the stalls and highly appreciated the students??? creativity, knowledge, and teamwork. Their encouraging feedback further motivated students to excel in their professional journey. This hands-on activity not only allowed students to practically apply their classroom knowledge but also developed their skills in diet planning, presentation, communication, and collaborative learning. Events like this reinforce the Department???s commitment to excellence in nutrition education and practical learning.
