Ms. Areej Munir and Ms. Amna Saleem, faculty members from the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), participated in a training program titled ???Two-Day Capacity Building of University Faculty on Courses for Food Systems Transformation???, held on 29???30 May 2025 at Avari Hotel, Lahore. The training was organized by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in collaboration with leading academic institutions, with the objective of strengthening university faculty capacity in designing and delivering courses on sustainable food systems. The event brought together educators from diverse universities to exchange ideas, enhance teaching skills, and align academic curricula with contemporary challenges in food and nutrition. Day 1 featured insightful sessions on the fundamentals of food systems, the integration of sustainability into higher education, the use of digital tools for effective teaching, and global approaches to curriculum design. These discussions offered participants an enriched perspective on food system dynamics at both national and international levels. Day 2 emphasized practical learning, covering syllabus development, experiential teaching methods, fostering industry linkages, and integrating policy and research into food systems education. The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, acknowledging the active participation and contributions of all attendees. The two-day training served as a valuable platform for professional growth, equipping faculty members with innovative practices to strengthen classroom teaching and contribute to the advancement of food systems education in Pakistan.
