Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen, Worthy Vice Chancellor, GCWUF, and the supervision of Head of Department, Dr. Madiha Ilyas, the Department of Nutritional Sciences, proudly secured the 2nd Position and a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 at the World Egg Day Celebration 2025 held on October 10, 2025, at the University of Kamalia Students, accompanied by faculty members, Ms. Amna Saleem and Ms. Hina Rasheed showcased their culinary innovation in an inter-university egg-based cooking competition, featuring teams from more than ten institutions, University of Okara, University of Jhang, GCU Faisalabad, NTU, Faisalabad and others. Students' nutritious, protein-rich dishes and creative presentation earned high praise from the judges, bringing honour and recognition to the University. The celebration not only highlighted the versatility and nutritional importance of eggs but also reflected the Departments commitment to promoting balanced, protein-rich dietary practices. To appreciate the students remarkable achievement, the Department of Nutritional Sciences organized a recognition ceremony, where certificates and cash prizes were distributed by Dr. Madiha Ilyas, Head of Department. She motivated, appreciated, and encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence and to actively participate in such innovative and skill-based competitions in the future.
