GCWUF is actively engaged in protecting environment and planting trees under Prime minister vision of clean and green Pakistan. This season most remarkable plantation activity has been initiated under kind directions of Worthy Vice Chancellor GCWUF, Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq. Department of Botany in collaboration with Incharge Horticulture, GC Women University Faisalabad conducted in-campus plantation drive in new campus of GCWUF on Tuesday, 3rd August 2021. Madam Vice Chancellor initiated the activity by planting Neem and Amaltas in the premises of new campus. Heads of various teaching and administrative departments including, Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli Director Academics, Dr. Nausheen Syed Coordinator Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences, Dr. Imrana Shahzadi Coordinator Faculty of Humanities and Languages, Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Abida Kausar Incharhge Department of Botany, Dr. Nasir Chatha Incharge Horticulture, Mr. Mumtaz Ali Project Director, Faculty of IT Services and students of Botany Departmemt also planted Neem, Sukh Chen, Amaltas, Conocarpus, Shehtoot and Pilken at various points within the vicinity of university. Faculty members and students showed great enthusiasm in this activity. Almost 250 students participated in the activity and planted more than 400 trees.
