International Conference on Dynamic Strategies in Plant Sciences for Crop Sustainability and Food Security Two-days International Conference entitled ???Dynamic Strategies in Plant Sciences for Crop Sustainability and Food Security??? has been organized on May 26-27, 2021 (virtually on Zoom) by Department of Botany, Government College Women University Faisalabad, Pakistan. The aim of the conference was to provide an international forum for the academicians, researchers, managers, industrial participants, and students to share their research findings with global experts. Botanists from various countries i.e., Pakistan, Canada, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Kingdom, France, and Australia keenly participated in the conference. Eminent speakers, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ruhi Mermut, Prof. Dr. Stephen C. Fry, Prof. Dr. Peter Kettlewell, Prof. Dr. Munazza Gull, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Dr. Odile Berge, Khawar Sohail Siddiqui, and Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari graced the event by delivering thoughtful keynote lectures. Scientists highlighted the current challenges faced by agriculture sector which are having adverse effects on food security. They highlighted the problem of food security as global challenge, by stating that in 2030 a huge gap is expected between food demand and supply. They also suggested the real-world solutions of problems faced by scientists and farmers and emphasized that crop sustainability must be given top priority. They emphasized the dire need of some natural systems by which we can protect our environment by cleaning our natural resources like air, water and soil as well as by take care of wildlife. The guest speakers and participants appreciated the organizing team and appreciated the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, Vice Chancellor, GCWUF for providing a platform to share new ideas, research and methods adopted in agriculture and plant sciences. They hoped for more such events in future and maximum participation from various sectors. The conference ended on opening new vistas of research for students at the university. The participants appreciated the efforts of Head of the Department Dr. Abida Kousar for managing the conference well.
