The activities of 31st October 2024 were started with an in-campus awareness walk, led by the Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli (Pro Vice Chancellor GCWUF), alongside Dr. Sajid Iqbal Sandhu, Prof. Dr. Shahzad Maqsood Ahmad Basra, Prof Dr. Saima Akram (Coordinator Faculty of Science and Technology), Ms. Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa (Controller of Examinations), Dr. Asma Khalid (Director QEC), faculty and students holding banner raising awareness about microform/kitchen gardening. The technical session of the day was physically attended by more than 100 participants. The resource persons Dr. Sajid Iqbal Sandhu CEO Green Circle Inc. and Dr. Shahzad Maqsood Ahmad Basra, Motivational Speaker and Emanant Scientist gave demonstrations to participants on various aspects of micro-farm gardening. The participants were taught how to prepare garden beds, soil health assessment, tunnel farming setup, hydroponic basics, seed sowing, watering, transplanting, thinning and finally watching them grow.
